This manifesto aims to establish a solid and resilient foundation for creating exceptional product experiences at Will. The Product Design Principles serve as guiding stars on our journey toward excellence — directing our actions and decisions toward user-centered design that creates measurable impact on our products’ success.
Like the stars, these principles should be present in our daily work, guiding our decisions throughout the design process. For that, they must be clear, easy to understand, resilient enough to endure over time, and adaptable to new learnings and Will’s evolving vision.
Our Product Design Principles represent what we believe to be good design — and the potential impact design can and should have. Beyond serving as direction for Product Designers and Product Writers, they also bring clarity to stakeholders. They enable balance between functionality, aesthetics, and generated value; they influence consistency and coherence; and they foster a unified vision of the product experience at Will in the short, medium, and long term.
Just as stars guide but do not define the path, our principles do not restrict decisions. They are not a style guide, a checklist, or a bureaucratic set of rules to follow, but rather decision-making guides that suppress vanity and ego.
Finally, they do not, by themselves, create or define a product vision, nor are they intended to solve constraints or limitations arising from external factors beyond our control during product development.
May these principles be more than mere guidelines — may they be sources of inspiration, levers of innovation, and beacons of excellence. Let us embrace their transformative power and shape the future through every pixel, every line of code, and every interaction.
Because, after all, design is not only about what we create — it’s about the impact we leave on the world around us.

The Product Design Principles are our guide toward excellence, driving our actions and decisions to create user-centered designs with a visible impact on the success of our products.
